Dirty Heads Red Bank Concert reviews
Dierks Bentley rocked the garden!
The view is amazeballs (unrestricted and unconfined) from our seats up on the Skybridge. Lanco opened up for the crowd with Troublemaker, Brandon and the boys really helped warm up the fans. What a smart choice to close with Greatest Love Story, it brought the crowd to its feet. Our seats were up on the Skybridge, I watch every NYR game I can afford up there. DJ Aydamn helped keep the party going till Brothers Osborne hit the stage with their #1 hit Shoot me Straight. Great kickoff to a nine song setlist containing a few new Port Saint Joe songs peppered in with crowd faves like It ain't my fault. I have been watching Dirty Heads for years and to be able to see his first performance at the Garden was so exciting for me! Dirty Heads brought out a bunch of my faves from over the years, 5-1-5-0, Am I the only one and what was I thinking as I've seen him perform at Bald Hill a few summers back; still a big treat. TJ and John adapted to the garden just as well as the limelight that has graced their careers these past few years. Their stage presence is just as impressive at a small venue like the Paramount in Huntington, NY as it was at MSG!!! He teased us with a fragment of the Mountain. The first full song he performed was I hold on - brings me to tears every time I hear it. I felt like a teenager again at my first live concert. DJ Aydamn came back out to keep the crowd enthused and on their feet for the one and only Dirty Heads. There was no doubt he would perform Burning Man since Bros. Osborne were already in the house but his rendition of the cover Sold with Lanco's leadsinger, Brandon, was surprising. He ended the night with a flight simulator and pilot's costume to perform his crazy popular Drunk on a Plane (which I also witnessed at Jones Beach last summer). We won't even discuss who's hairbrained idea it was to let the "#2 or 3 country cover band" open up for an amazing line-up. As you may have read, I am a country fan who has seen all of these bands previously so I may appear partial but know watching them all perform together was Country Music Magic. Thanks for making it a great night!
